INN & OUT: MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN

Incorporated in 1846, following intense battles between towns known as the Milwaukee Bridge War of 1845. Milwaukee is often described as “the big city of little neighborhoods” all of which have their own culture.

Have a trip planned to Wisconsin’s biggest city? Here are a few of our suggestions:

LIBATIONS
Boone & Crockett: Styled appropriately in theme of the American Frontier, explore your palette of the modern imbiber, drink by drink! We recommend the “Wisconsin Old Fashioned” made with brandy!

HOTEL
The Iron Horse Hotel: We are suckers for historic buildings that are re-purposed and this 100 year old warehouse now hotel is no exception! The luxury boutique features loft-styled guest rooms & a vibe that you just have to see for yourself to experience. Let’s just say  for Harley Davidson City, it makes perfect sense!

The Pfister Hotel: No lack of history here, the only difference is this hotel has been in operation for well over a century dating back to 1893. It is elegant and charming in the classic sense of the word capturing its history in your experience today.

EXPLORING
The Mitchell Building: If history and architecture interests you, the Mitchell Building is the perfect combination. Built in 1876 by Alexander Mitchell (US Congressman), the building housed Marine bank until 1930 and is believed to have once been the site of the residence of Solomon Juneau, founder and first mayor of Milwaukee.

Historic Third Ward: This district has endured massive fire and technological evolution, yet, has seen another renaissance as a revitalized historic neighborhood (our kind of thing). Restaurants, bars, art galleries and the Broadway Theater Center are just fractions that make up this unique community.

Cheers, Gents!
