We’re talking about the St. Regis Bora Bora!
The St.Regis in Bora Bora was one of the most unique and incredible experiences we’ve had to date, here are three reasons why it shakes out as our favorite hotel on Earth:
Overwater Bungalow:
Yes, we realize these exist elsewhere and can be a fraction of the cost. However, I’ve never stayed in one with a view quite like the volcanic Mt. Otemanu. It also had a MASSIVE bathroom with his/her sinks, living room and our own pool.
Tip: They will press 2 garments for you per night free! Also, don’t think you need the private pool. Although, it sounds great… we barely went in it, we had the biggest pool in the world all around us. We didn’t need it :)
Lagoonarium:
This place has its own lagoon - aquarium! Seawater from the atoll is gated around their spa. You can snorkel with real sea life and even get time with their on-premise marine biologist. Perfect if you’re new to snorkeling!
Dining:
I personally loved the idea of going out every night to a new restaurant, yet… not leaving the grounds. From early breakfasts at “Te Pahu” with quiche and fresh fruits to dinner and cocktails at “Lagoon” with incredible views.
Transportation:
There are no cars at the St. Regis Bora Bora, at all. Every resort surrounding the main island is essentially its own island on the atoll. To get around the St. Regis you either walk… or take your complimentary bicycle that comes with the villa.
Tip: Wearing heels or had to many Mai Tais? The staff will absolutely take you on a golf cart with pleasure. Just ask!
The Staff:
It will blow your mind how well the staff knows you, even before you’ve met them! We formed so many relationships during our stay I cried multiple times saying goodbye. I’m POSITIVE this has never happened to you before. This is the biggest amenity by far, in fact we still stay in touch with many of them on social media!
